Darryl F. Jones: 13.7 million ozs of Au at current market or approx $808/oz = $11,069 million, or approx $11 billion gross value quoted for Fruta del Norte (Aurelian). 11 billion lbs of Cu at current market or $3.00/lb = $33 billion gross value. How are the $110 billion (gold) and $100 billion (copper) numbers arrived at, and by whom?

Michael Lee: Thank you Silvia. A clear mind in the darkness.

Syd Goring: Nice article Silvia, honest and right to the point, with your clarity of mind you should be in government rather than advising them.

Wayne P: Many thanks for your informative articles. I hope the government is paying attention!

Syd Goring: Silvia, The below is a posting on the Agoracom Aurelian Discussion Forum.. It comes direct from Aurelian Resources. Backs you up 100% "We are doing our best to get clarification and we want it just as much as anyone. We continue to believe that the government sees the tremendous potential and benefits that mining can bring and that they will create a framework (laws, policies) that will encourage the growth of this industry. They have had presentations from international mining experts and economists very recently that have clearly outlined the international successes and failures and the structures associated with them. One of the less-than-successful examples presented to them was Mongolia, which instituted a windfall profits tax on mining and has seen mining investment dry up since then."

sam L: Silvia-You bring such clarity-to a situation that is mostly un-founded "FEAR" and not Logic-"Both sides want mining to work in Ecuador-Correa wants mining to be the backbone of his new economy-He has proven to be a very smart person-and is trying to help his country-In the end-I am sure he will do the right thing-Keep up the great work-"Ecuador and its people are both great-

J Flores: Cleverly done, Silvia. Many people should be as clear as you are.

sam L: I predict within 5 years-ecuador will become the mining centre of South America-Correa is trying to produce Good paying jobs for his country-and create a steady-flow of revenue-His trip to China-with Oil and Copper-and not bannas-Shows he has a very-well thought out plan-Major Drilling setting up shop in Ecuador-tells me they believe its a market with great-upside-Always-invest with logic and not fear-maybe a little bit bumby along the way-but well worth it-Maybe in 7 1/2 more years-Sylvia will be the next President-Wonderfull job-and admired by many-good-luck
